My name is Eva. I’m a mom of two, and I’ve always believed that good food is one of life’s greatest joys.
My love for baking started early. At just three years old, I would stand on a stool in my Swedish grandmother’s kitchen, watching her hands shape dough into all kinds of beautiful breads. Those moments stayed with me, and for years I followed her recipes, baking the way I had been taught.
Everything changed when my youngest daughter was born prematurely and diagnosed with a swallowing disorder. That moment marked the beginning of a completely new journey for me — a journey into nutrition, ingredients, and understanding how deeply what we eat affects our health.
When I moved to Canada in the early 2000s, I realized that bread and cakes were very different from what I grew up with. The wheat here was harder to digest, and I began to question everything I thought I knew about baking. That’s when I started experimenting with different flours and, in a way, had to forget everything I knew about developing gluten.
Over time, I learned how gluten-free flours truly work — and I fell in love with the process. What started as necessity became passion.
Today, I create recipes that are not only delicious, but also gentle, nourishing, and made with intention. For me, baking is still about love, family, and the simple joy of sharing good food — just like it was in my grandmother’s kitchen.
